The Cabildo de La Gomera has begun the payment of the first list of study and rental grants, benefiting over 550 students with an initial investment of 1,308,400 euros.

The island institution has launched the payment of aid corresponding to the current academic year, within the framework of a call exceeding 2.2 million euros. This initial disbursement represents a significant portion of the support allocated to the island's student community.
This first phase of payments is part of a historic call that has received over 820 applications. The total investment is the largest recorded to date by the Cabildo in this area, and is aimed at university, Bachillerato (high school), and Vocational Training students.
Among the novelties of this edition is an accommodation support measure, the rental-bonus, which offers up to 1,000 euros to students who must relocate to continue their studies. This initiative seeks to strengthen the island's public policies in education.
The Cabildo de La Gomera has confirmed that it is already working on preparing a second list of beneficiaries, whose resolution is expected in the coming weeks, thus expanding the number of students who will receive these grants.
