These activities, designed to foster a more inclusive and empathetic society, are open to the entire population. Their main objective is to promote awareness, interaction, and respect towards individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The initiative is part of a broader project that seeks to provide citizens with practical tools for a better understanding of autism, promoting participation through playful and adapted sensory dynamics.
The tour across the municipalities includes stops in Agulo on Thursday, April 16, at the football field; San Sebastián de La Gomera on Friday, April 17, as part of the Health Fair; Playa de Santiago on Saturday, April 18, in the Plaza del Carmen; and Valle Gran Rey on the same Saturday, April 18, in the Plaza de San Pedro.
Subsequently, the workshops will reach Vallehermoso on Saturday, April 25, in the Plaza de la Constitución; and Hermigua also on Saturday, April 25, in the Parque de El Curato. All activities are open to families, children, and the general public.
This project is supported by the “la Caixa” Foundation through CaixaBank and the Cabildo Insular de La Gomera, which has enabled the implementation of these social actions on the island. The collaboration of local town councils, who have provided public spaces and logistical support, is also highlighted.
