Endesa, through its subsidiary e-distribución, has invested €300,000 in upgrading the electrical grid in San Sebastián de La Gomera, specifically in the Pueblo Don Thomas urbanization.

The works involve connecting six transformation centers via an electrical ring, providing the grid with an alternative Medium Voltage power supply circuit. This initiative aims to enhance the grid's robustness, stability, and maneuverability, while reducing its vulnerability to potential incidents.
This project is part of a broader investment plan by Endesa to modernize and reinforce the distribution network across the Canary Islands, focusing on increasing the resilience and reliability of the medium voltage grid on the islands.
The renovation includes laying approximately half a kilometer of new underground Medium Voltage electrical line, which will close the ring network. Additionally, the equipment in one of the transformation centers is being renewed and expanded. These facilities are located in La Gomera's main tourist hub, encompassing the Pueblo Don Thomas urbanization and the Tecina Golf Course.
The six transformation centers serve over 200 customers and have a combined capacity of 2,750 kVA.
