Specialist appointments scheduled from 5:00 PM onwards at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital in La Gomera are causing significant inconvenience for numerous patients, who frequently miss the last public transport service to return to their municipalities.

This situation particularly affects those residing in towns far from San Sebastián, the island's capital. After their appointments, which sometimes extend beyond 10:00 PM, many patients find themselves without public transport options to get back home.
One affected individual reported that, after an appointment that lasted until 9:30 PM, they observed many elderly people still waiting, some of whom could be from remote municipalities such as Valle Gran Rey or Vallehermoso. The concern focuses on how late these individuals manage to reach their homes after an entire afternoon dedicated to the hospital visit.

"I noticed that many elderly people were still waiting there, some of whom could be from municipalities as remote as Valle Gran Rey or Vallehermoso."

It has been suggested that scheduling appointments in the morning could alleviate these problems, preventing patients, many of whom are elderly, from having to rely on expensive night taxis to travel to their towns, which adds both cost and difficulty.
