Plaza del Carmen in Playa de Santiago is set to host the fifth edition of the El Puerto de las Letras literary fair this Sunday, themed Érase una vez la quinta.

The day begins at 10:00 AM with children's workshops and meetings with writers. Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a speed-writing contest and enjoy musical performances under the laurel trees of the square.
Starting at 11:00 AM, a gastronomic area will be available with the participation of local businesses. The program includes the presentation of the books Mitomancia and El Corazón de la Vid at 11:30 AM, followed by a literary paella, with proceeds going towards purchasing books for the island's schools.
The afternoon will feature the Tagaragunche toma la palabra cycle and a roundtable discussion on fiction and reality in Canary Islands history. The event will conclude with a tour of local oral traditions and the décima, followed by an open mic for poets and the premiere of the fair's official song.
