'Pepita Castellví' Ferry Launched in La Gomera by Balearia Canarias

The new and modern trimaran 'Pepita Castellví' from Balearia Canarias was presented this Wednesday in La Gomera, strengthening maritime connections with Tenerife and La Palma.

The president of Balearia Canarias, Adolfo Utor, along with company executives, welcomed authorities and social representatives from La Gomera aboard the brand-new ship. The vessel, named in honor of the Spanish oceanographer Pepita Castellví, joins the routes connecting the island with Tenerife and La Palma.
The 'Pepita Castellví' is a spacious trimaran featuring modern and comfortable facilities, as well as advanced technological capabilities. It has a capacity for 870 passengers and 250 vehicles, measures 102 meters in length and 27 meters in beam, and can reach a speed of 35 knots.
Onboard amenities include a children's play area, two bars-cafeterias, a shop, free Internet access, a digital entertainment platform, and a pet video surveillance system. The interior design emphasizes spaciousness and separation between seats, complemented by a stabilization system for enhanced comfort, a floating superstructure, and high-tech insulation.
