This event is part of the educational project Teaching to Undertake, promoted by the University Employment Agency of the General Foundation of the University of La Laguna. It receives financial support from the Canarian Employment Service and collaboration from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports.
On this occasion, the fair, which celebrates its thirteenth overall edition and the second in La Gomera, highlighted the participation of students from the NEAE +21 program of CEPA La Gomera. These students developed their own company, named Cooperativa La Gomera +21, an experience that allowed them to acquire skills in entrepreneurship, cooperation, and economic management.
The fair, held at the Municipal Market of San Sebastián de La Gomera, served as a showcase for products designed and created by the students themselves. Through this activity, essential values such as teamwork, decision-making, creativity, and solidarity were fostered among the participants.
“"Both the students and the teachers and supervisors have worked with the utmost seriousness in creating their project, which they have named Cooperativa La Gomera +21."
The presence of the mayor of San Sebastián de La Gomera and the councilor for Education at the event underscores the institutional commitment to these initiatives. Both toured the stands, interacted with the young people, and expressed their pride in the choice of San Sebastián as the fair's venue, highlighting the effort and dedication of the students and their mentors.
The celebration of this gathering reinforces the municipality's commitment to education, inclusion, and the promotion of entrepreneurship, giving visibility to the students' work and promoting initiatives that drive the active participation of young people in the social and economic life of the island.
