The Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Health has announced that the six injured individuals admitted to hospitals following the bus incident, which resulted in one fatality and 27 injuries, are showing favorable progress. Three of these patients, currently under observation, are likely to be discharged in the coming hours.
The event took place when a bus carrying British tourists plunged down an embankment at kilometer two of the GM-2 road, near the environmental complex of San Sebastián de La Gomera.
The management of Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe confirmed that the three patients in the Emergency Department are showing significant improvement, anticipating their prompt release from the facility.
Regarding the two injured individuals transferred to Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Tenerife, both remain hospitalized; one in stable condition and the other in stable condition but with serious injuries.
Finally, the person who was transferred to Hospital Universitario de Canarias, also in Tenerife, continues to be hospitalized in stable condition, according to information provided by the Ministry of Health.
