The decision is based on information from the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources, activating the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
The alert will affect the eastern, southern, and western areas of Gran Canaria, as well as the entire island of La Gomera. Maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour are expected, with very strong northerly winds impacting the southern slopes, especially in ravines.
