A 32-year-old man has died following a traffic accident and a subsequent fall down a ravine in the municipality of Santa Cruz de La Palma on Saturday night.

The incident occurred on the Vía Exterior in the capital of La Palma. According to the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Center, the vehicle veered off the road and overturned. Although the driver managed to exit the vehicle on his own, he suffered a fall down a ten-meter slope while wandering in the area.
Following the alert received at 11:38 PM, a large emergency response was deployed. Personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) and local health center staff stabilized the victim before his urgent transfer to a hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical teams and the La Palma Fire Department, who assisted in the rescue, the man passed away due to the severity of the multiple injuries sustained from both the crash and the fall.
The operation involved officers from the Civil Guard, National Police, and Local Police, as well as Civil Protection members. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
