The Island Council of La Palma has increased the total number of properties permitted for occupancy in Puerto Naos and La Bombilla to 1,237, following the Tajogaite eruption.

The number of authorized residences includes 1,177 units in Puerto Naos and 60 in La Bombilla. This decision, approved during the latest meeting of the Island Emergency Plan Advisory Council, is part of the gradual strategy to normalize life in the Valle de Aridane.
Resident and business owner safety remains the priority. To ensure this, active surveillance is maintained through a network of over 1,500 sensors that monitor carbon dioxide levels both inside and outside the affected areas.
Access to these areas is not universal but is managed through technical protocols that evaluate the status of each home and business individually. Interested parties must complete the documentation required by the island corporation before reopening their properties or businesses.
