The Popular Party of Breña Alta, through its spokesperson Melisa Rodríguez, has once again called for the reinforcement of the Local Police force due to the persistent shortage of officers in the municipality.

The popular party members recall that they already warned about this issue in October, pointing out that the number of agents was insufficient for a town with over 7,000 inhabitants. They also highlighted that existing positions were not being filled, despite being included in the Job Description List.
However, six months after that warning, the Popular Party reports that no significant progress has been made. They assert that the municipal government has not implemented effective measures to address this staffing deficiency.

"This is not a new problem; we have been warning about it for months, and the reality is that everything remains the same, without solutions and without planning from the governing group."

The PP emphasizes that the lack of personnel not only complicates the internal organization of the police force, affecting shift and service coverage, but also reduces police presence on the streets. This decrease in police visibility is a concern that, according to the party, residents have expressed on numerous occasions.

"The positions exist and are accounted for, but they are not being advertised, which demonstrates a lack of management that directly affects the safety and quality of service residents receive."

Finally, the Popular Party urges the governing group to act responsibly and reinforce the Local Police staff, in accordance with the Job Description List, thereby addressing a real need for the municipality of Breña Alta.
