The initiative, promoted by the Cabildo de La Palma and organized by Sodepal under the slogan "Where savings are celebrated!", aims to highlight local merchants and offer quality products at reduced prices from seasonal stocks and liquidations.
The Minister of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, emphasized that the fair is "much more than a discount fair," but rather a way to support the island's economy and showcase the daily efforts of La Palma's merchants.
For attendees, Saldo Fest represents a unique opportunity to find the offerings of shops from all over the island in one place at reduced prices. Participating businesses, in turn, can clear merchandise, reduce stocks, and gain liquidity, as well as attract new customers.
In addition to the commercial area, the fair will feature a program of activities including painting, crafts, and DIY workshops, musical entertainment, raffles, and a gastronomic area with food trucks.
Saldo Fest opened its doors on Friday, October 16. On Saturday, October 17, it will be open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The initiative is supported by the El Paso City Council and various commercial associations, and is part of the Destino La Palma, Comercio Inteligente project, co-financed by the European Union.
