A total of 24 migrants of North African origin were rescued this Tuesday by the Salvamar Al Nair while sailing in an inflatable boat approximately 125 kilometers off the coast of Lanzarote.

Sources from Maritime Rescue reported that the rescue vessel is heading to the port of Arrecife, with an estimated arrival time around 7:35 PM local time. The initial sighting of the dinghy occurred at 12:21 PM by a merchant ship.
Initially, Morocco was expected to handle the rescue, but due to a lack of its own resources, it requested the collaboration of Maritime Rescue to assist the vessel. The occupants of the dinghy are, according to initial reports, in apparently good health.
