A food truck parked on Avenida del Mar in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, caught fire, prompting the deployment of firefighters and other emergency services, though no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, April 9, when a fire broke out in a food truck located in the outdoor plaza of the Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort hotel. The alert was received by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2, which immediately activated the necessary resources to manage the situation.
Personnel from the Security and Emergency Consortium were dispatched to the scene, gaining access to the area with the support of officers from the Teguise Local Police. Upon their arrival, they confirmed that the hotel staff had already begun to control the fire, which facilitated the firefighters' intervention.
After an initial assessment, it was determined that no additional units were needed. During the operation, Civil Guard agents also arrived and assisted with security tasks. Firefighters proceeded to fully extinguish the blaze using foam, ensuring there was no risk of reignition.
The fire caused significant damage to the caravan's structure and various kitchen elements, including a fryer and a griddle. Despite the intensity of the fire, authorities confirmed that no one was injured. Once cooling and verification tasks were completed, emergency teams concluded their service, confirming no risk of reignition.
