The José Ramírez Cerdá Park in Arrecife hosted the 32nd edition of the San Ginés Folk Festival, an event celebrating the tradition and popular culture of the Canary Islands.

The thirty-second edition of the festival brought together groups from Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Tenerife on stage, in addition to soloists from the 'conejera' island. The Coros y Danzas Arrecife Folk Group acted as host alongside Maxorata (Fuerteventura) and Tajaraste (Tenerife), offering a mosaic of Canarian folklore expressions.
As a narrative thread for the evening, an old suitcase was used to take the audience on a symbolic journey through the islands. Actors Jenifer Artiles, Isaac Dos Santos, and Mario Oses narrated this imaginary trip, introducing the performances of the groups representing each island.
The festival opening featured a joint performance by twelve soloists linked to folk groups from Lanzarote, who sang a 'seguidilla'. Afterwards, all participants received commemorative plaques in recognition of their collaboration.
The deputy mayor and councillor for Festivals of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, highlighted the cultural value of the event and thanked Coros y Danzas Arrecife for organizing it, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the festival to preserve Canarian cultural identity.
The folklore program continued on Saturday with the Musical Offering to San Ginés, in which the same groups participated, departing from Cuatro Esquinas to Plaza de Las Palmas.
