The Granada-based band La Guardia performed at the Noche de Guateque during the San Ginés Festivities in Arrecife, Lanzarote, revisiting their Spanish pop-rock hits for an enthusiastic audience.

The Avenida Vargas and the traditional food stalls area in Arrecife served as the venue for the Noche de Guateque, a festive evening that combined music from different decades with the anticipated concert by La Guardia. The musical offering aimed to set the mood for attendees before the main performance.
The event commenced with a musical selection by Maxi Ferrer, who presented a journey through hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Subsequently, the Granada-based group La Guardia, led by Manuel España, took the stage to perform some of the most recognized songs from their extensive career spanning over four decades.

"Mil calles llevan hacia ti, Cuando brille el sol, and El mundo tras el cristal"

Songs such as ‘Mil calles llevan hacia ti’, ‘Cuando brille el sol’, and ‘El mundo tras el cristal’ echoed through the venue, sung along by the audience. The band, a key figure in Spanish pop-rock, particularly during the late 80s and early 90s, demonstrated their connection with the crowd.
Following La Guardia's concert, Maxi Ferrer returned to conclude the musical program on Avenida Vargas, extending the Noche de Guateque. Concurrently, Parque José Ramírez Cerdá hosted a verbena with performances by Banda Nueva and Mango con Fuego, broadening the entertainment options across the capital of Lanzarote.
Both activities are part of the program for the San Ginés Festivities 2026, organized by the Fiestas Department of the Arrecife City Council, under the direction of deputy mayor Echedey Eugenio.
