The XIII Lanzarote Art Biennial will dedicate its upcoming edition to the 50th anniversary of the Museum of International Contemporary Art (MIAC), which was inaugurated on December 10, 1976, initiated by César Manrique.

Organized by the Art, Culture, and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, this cultural event proposes a review of the museum's history. Taking Manrique's thought as a starting point, the Biennial will address the island's main challenges under the theme Looking at Time. Thinking the Island.
The Biennial's program, which has already begun with Pedro Ayose's artistic laboratory Teleclub and Rosa Vera's exhibition Fluir, espacios-otros at La Cabina, will extend over the coming months and throughout 2027. It will include exhibitions, concerts, screenings, performances, and public events.
