A new digital wine guide, showcasing 34 wineries affiliated with the Regulatory Council, has been unveiled at Madrid Fusión with the backing of the Cabildo de Lanzarote to invigorate the sector.

The publication, initially available in English and digital format, primarily aims to promote Lanzarote's wine offerings. It is expected to be translated into other languages in the future to broaden its global reach and attract a more diverse audience.
In addition to a detailed map pinpointing each winery's location, the guide will provide an in-depth exploration of the island's wine history, its unique cultivation methods, and the close relationship between Lanzarote's distinctive volcanic landscape and its cultural identity.

"This effort reflects a new commitment from our administration to Lanzarote's wines, especially to small producers."

Armando Santana · Councillor for Hospitality and Commerce
The Councillor for Hospitality and Commerce, Armando Santana, emphasized support for small producers and announced future subsidy lines to facilitate the participation of local wineries in national and international fairs. Meanwhile, the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, highlighted the cultural and scenic value of the sector, recognized by the FAO as an Important Agricultural Heritage System.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion, Nori Machín, described the initiative as a fundamental tool for opening new markets and strengthening the presence of Lanzarote's wines in high-level circuits, aligning with the marketing strategy promoted by the island corporation. Santana also expressed gratitude for the support of Vice President María Jesús Tovar, Councillor for Planning and Project Coordination, who was present at the event.
