The Ocean Film Tour, considered Europe's largest oceanic festival, will celebrate its twelfth edition on the island of Lanzarote on October 30th and 31st, 2026. Screenings will commence promptly at 7:00 PM each day in the Jameos del Agua auditorium, offering the public a new program of international documentaries.
The organization has confirmed the presence of Maite Asensio Elvira, current president of the association Latitud Azul, an entity dedicated to promoting the conservation of the marine environment in the Canary Islands. Asensio Elvira will present her European project Guardianes del Azul, a scientific and educational initiative focused on protecting local rays and sharks.
The Guardianes del Azul project combines research, awareness, and audiovisual dissemination to address threats such as recreational fishing and illegal capture. The festival evenings will include raffles and surprises for attendees, promising an experience dedicated to marine biodiversity.
The twelfth edition of the festival will feature two essential official screenings. The first session will take place on Friday, October 30th, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the municipality of Haría. The second screening will be held on Saturday, October 31st, at the same time, in the Auditorium of Jameos del Agua.
