A 31-year-old paraglider was involved in an accident in Diseminado Las Laderas, Teguise, Lanzarote, sustaining a moderate lumbar trauma and requiring rescue from a hard-to-reach area.

The incident occurred last Monday at 8:35 PM, when the man fell while paragliding. The challenging terrain complicated rescue efforts, necessitating the involvement of specialized teams.
Personnel from the Lanzarote Security, Emergency, Rescue, Prevention, and Fire Extinction Consortium were dispatched to the scene to carry out the rescue. Once secured, the paraglider received initial medical attention.
The Primary Care medical team assessed the injured individual, confirming a moderate lumbar trauma. Subsequently, he was transported by a Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for specialized care.
Officers from the Local Police also attended the scene to conduct the necessary investigations and clarify the circumstances of the accident.
