The competition, which brought together over 1,400 triathletes from 61 nationalities, unfolded over a challenging course including a swim in Playa Grande, a 180.2-kilometer cycling segment through iconic locations like Timanfaya National Park and La Geria, and a final 42.2-kilometer marathon.
Sam Laidlow demonstrated his strength from the start, leading the men's race after the swim and maintaining his top position on the bike. In the women's category, Lucy Charles-Barclay also set the fastest swim time and solidified her dominance during the cycling stage.
The run determined the final standings. Laidlow crossed the finish line with a time of 08:03:40, followed by Germany's Patrick Lange and Jordi Montraveta. Charles completed a remarkable performance, winning in 09:15:39, ahead of Switzerland's Nina Derron and France's Nikita Paskiewiez.
This year's edition marked the last with Club La Santa as the main organizer. Concurrently, the children's event IRONKIDS Lanzarote was held, gathering over 170 children in a festive atmosphere.
