Among the new regulations approved in the latest plenary session, a fee of 400 euros has been set for each day of film shooting that utilizes public roads. This measure seeks to compensate for the high intensity of public space usage and the profitability of these audiovisual productions.
Additionally, the fiscal ordinance includes a charge of 104 euros per day for setting up a 'bochinche' (street stall) of six square meters. Fees for businesses operating in public spaces vary by location and time of year, such as the 2.07 euros per square meter per day for a small stall on the Paseo de los Poetas during a summer month.
Regarding cultural venues, general admission to the Huerto de Las Flores, recently reopened after extensive renovation, will cost three euros per person, reduced to one euro for school groups under 18 years old. The Museo de la Rama will charge 2.50 euros per entry, with a one euro fee for young people.
Civil wedding celebrations will also see updated fees. Getting married at the Agaete Town Hall will cost 60 euros, while choosing the Huerto de Las Flores as the venue for the ceremony will incur a charge of 200 euros. The municipal report specifies that a maximum of three weddings can be held on Fridays, totaling up to 156 events annually.
The technical economic study reveals that the operating and conservation costs for the Huerto de Las Flores amount to 133,897 euros, with a unit cost of 5.38 euros per service. For the Museo de la Rama, the total cost is 16,089 euros, resulting in 4.13 euros per unit. The costs for marriage authorizations at the Town Hall are 32,174 euros (206.25 euros per unit) and at the Huerto de Las Flores are 47,036 euros (301.52 euros per unit).
The opposition unsuccessfully requested discounts for artisans and non-profit organizations, as well as higher museum ticket prices to cover costs. However, the governing group defended its proposals based on technical reports and expressed openness to future fee updates if deemed appropriate to serve the general interest.
