The mobile unit will be operational in the morning (10:00 AM to 1:30 PM) and afternoon (5:00 PM to 8:30 PM) to facilitate citizen participation. The objective is to bring this act of solidarity closer to the population and ensure adequate blood reserves in the archipelago.
The SCS reminds the public of the importance of donating blood regularly, at least twice a year, as this vital fluid cannot be artificially manufactured and its availability is crucial for meeting the needs of the archipelago's hospitals. Each donation can save lives.
In addition to the mobile unit in Agaete, there are fixed extraction points in Gran Canaria. The main headquarters is located at Calle Alfonso XIII in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, open Monday to Friday. There are also points at the Vecindario Health Center (Santa Lucía de Tirajana) and in several hospitals such as the Insular Hospital, the Maternal and Child Hospital, and the Doctor Negrín University Hospital.
