The festival featured the participation of the Farallón de Tábata Folklore Group and the Manantial del Real de Las Palmas Folklore Association. Additionally, special collaborations were provided by Laura Martel and Isabel Díaz Cruz.
The invited group, Manantial del Real de Las Palmas, presented a varied repertoire of Canarian folklore genres, including pieces such as 'Siote de Fuencaliente', 'Folías de Tenerife', 'Seguidillas de Gran Canaria', and 'Polka de Fuerteventura'.
Subsequently, Farallón de Tábata performed with a repertoire that included 'Ensamble de Polkas de Gran Canaria', 'Tango Florida', 'Mazurca de El Hierro', 'Jota Gomera', 'Malagueñas Amar o Morir', and 'Nobleza Galdense'.
One of the night's highlights was the performance of Laura Martel as a timple player and soloist in 'Folías de Lanzarote'. Later, alongside Isabel Díaz Cruz, winner of 'Voces de Gáldar 2025', she performed the 'Mazurca de Gáldar', and both received a commemorative gift in appreciation of their collaboration.
The folklore week in Gáldar will continue with various activities, including the 10th Children's Folklore Festival “Gáldar Uniendo Orillas” this Wednesday, the Fiestas de Santiago Festival on Thursday, and the traditional Noche de Folías. The festivities will conclude with the Offering Pilgrimage to Señor Santiago de los Caballeros.
