The Gáldar International Film Festival 2026, scheduled from October 10th to 17th, has released its official spot, titled 'Dream Life, Live Cinema'.

The festival's fourteenth edition centers on the theme 'Cinema and Sports: An Epic Dialogue,' exploring personal achievement and redemption through these two disciplines. The official spot aims to inspire viewers with a message of empowerment and hope.
Directed by Ángel Hernández Suárez, the short film features actress Jennifer Artiles traversing the diverse geography of Gáldar, from its mountain peaks to the coast and historic town center. During her run, the protagonist reflects on her fears and defeats, considering them 'just an option in the script of your life'.

Dream life, live cinema

The spot's concluding phrase encourages the audience to live 'the movie of their lives.' The production involved Manuel Peña for cinematography, filming, and editing, and Andrea López for makeup. All filming locations are within the municipality of Gáldar, including the highlands, Sardina del Norte, and the town center, concluding in front of the Guaires cultural center.
