The inauguration, held this Thursday, was attended by municipal authorities and numerous residents, who witnessed firsthand the improvements made to this highly anticipated public space. The investment, sourced from municipal funds through the Neighborhood Plan, amounts to approximately 80,000 euros.
“"This park represents the City Council's commitment to the constant improvement of public spaces in our neighborhoods, and especially to the creation of safe, accessible, and modern environments for our children."
The renovation has addressed the complete overhaul of the park, which previously presented significant accessibility and equipment limitations. Now, the space features new children's play equipment, improved lighting, and rest areas for families, ensuring a safer and more adapted environment for current needs.
Among the main actions, architectural barriers have been removed by leveling the terrain, facilitating the passage of people with reduced mobility and strollers. Additionally, the play area has been expanded with a larger central element, new children's furniture, soft paving, and a safety fence.
Furthermore, a new exit to the pedestrian alley has been opened, planters and benches have been installed to beautify the surroundings, and lighting has been improved with more efficient technology. The decision to rehabilitate the existing park was made after a meeting with neighborhood representatives, who conveyed the need for a comprehensive intervention in this space widely used by local families.
