The intervention, with a budget of 623,000 euros, is funded by the Department of Industry and Commerce of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. The main objective is to adapt the public space to current accessibility regulations, prioritizing pedestrian traffic and reorganizing vehicle traffic and parking areas in this residential and commercial zone.
The project includes a complete renovation of the sewage and water supply networks, as well as the installation of a new storm drain collector to prevent flooding. Additionally, the necessary conduits will be installed to bury low-voltage, lighting, and telecommunications networks, eliminating the visual impact of overhead cables.
Delgado street will undergo the most significant transformation, with the creation of an accessible sidewalk on its left side. Meanwhile, on Domingo Pérez Mateos street, pedestrian traffic will be improved through the relocation of lighting elements and the creation of a new sidewalk. The Bartolito el del Molino passage will also see improvements to its pavement and lighting.
