Gáldar receives land from Sareb for public housing and facilities
The Gáldar City Council acquires plots in Sardina and Paseo de Los Guanartemes for long-term urban and social development projects.

The Gáldar City Council has received a donation of a 3,825 square meter plot from Sareb in Sardina, designated for public interest and use.
The mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, recently formalized the donation of a 3,825 square meter plot, with a buildable area of 2,295 square meters, from Sareb (the asset management company for banking restructuring) in the Sardina area. These lands, located in the Cumbrecillas de Sardina and ‘Lomo del Faro’ zones, will be used for the development of the Playa Canaria urbanization project, aiming to build public housing and community facilities.
Additionally, the City Council will acquire 18 plots on Paseo de Los Guanartemes, also owned by Sareb, totaling approximately 70,000 square meters. This operation includes housing construction and complementary uses such as parking areas and educational facilities.

The mayor emphasized that transforming these spaces will require years of work, investment, and inter-administrative collaboration, but highlighted the local government's commitment to creating opportunities and ensuring the progressive development of projects in various areas of the municipality, with future generations in mind.
