The municipalities of Gáldar, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and Tejeda will formalize their twinning with the Mancomunidad de Concellos Galegos del Camino Francés this Friday, July 24th, in an institutional ceremony at the Teatro Consistorial.

The event, scheduled for 12:00 PM, will serve to ratify in Gran Canaria the agreement previously signed in Galicia last April. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation and cultural exchange ties among municipalities linked to the Camino de Santiago.
A delegation from the Mancomunidad de Concellos Galegos del Camino Francés, including representatives from towns such as Arzúa, Melide, and Sarria, among others, will participate in this event. The primary objective of this twinning is to promote joint projects in areas like culture, tourism, heritage, and the promotion of traditions associated with the Jacobean heritage.
Furthermore, on Saturday, July 25th, the Galician delegation will attend the main events of the Fiestas Mayores de Santiago de los Caballeros de Gáldar, including the solemn procession in honor of Saint James the Apostle.
