The Santa María de Guía City Council, through the Department of Youth, is organizing the Ciudad de Guía Youth Encounter on Saturday, August 29, a free day of leisure, sports, and coexistence for the municipality's young people.
The activity will take place at the Octavio Estévez Football Field between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The initiative, funded by the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, aims to offer young people a different and healthy day.
The program includes a water leisure zone, bouncy castles, laser tag, board games, a Montessori area, popular team games, and gymkhanas. Additionally, rest and coexistence spaces, a youth information point, and dynamics related to equality, respect for diversity, and healthy lifestyles will be available.
The event will also feature outdoor music, creating an atmosphere conducive for young people to interact, meet each other, and enjoy healthy leisure.
“
"We want this encounter to be a space to enjoy, and to experience Guía in a different way. We have prepared activities for different tastes and ages, and the most important thing is that young people are the protagonists of this day."
“
"We want young people from all neighborhoods to participate and find in this day an opportunity to meet, have fun, and enjoy healthy leisure together."
This proposal from the Department of Youth aims to promote youth participation and offer leisure and coexistence alternatives in the municipality.
