The Department of Urban Planning and Housing of the Guía City Council will publish this Wednesday, August 12, the resolution of the file for the concession of aid for housing rehabilitation. This aid is part of the ‘Regional Program to Combat Depopulation in Rural Areas of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025’.
A total of 172 residents of the municipality have benefited from this call, which totals 822,799.97 euros. The resolution will be available on the electronic headquarters' notice board and in person at the City Hall and the Citizen Attention Office.
From the publication date, a period of 10 business days opens, ending on August 25, for beneficiaries to submit the subsidy acceptance document. The Councilor for Urban Planning and Housing, José Manuel Santana, acknowledged that the process has taken longer than desired due to staff shortages and the complexity of the file.
«The important thing at this moment [...] is that the beneficiaries can correctly formalize the acceptance of the aid and that we do not have to return any part of the granted subsidy», stressed Santana, highlighting the goal of facilitating this final step to ensure all funds reach the families.
To resolve doubts and facilitate the completion of the form, the Department of Urban Planning and Housing will offer personalized attention on August 12, 14, and 17, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at the City Hall. Those unable to attend on these dates can request an appointment from Tuesday, August 18, by calling 609 576 964.
