The San Isidro Children's School held its 2025-2026 academic year closing ceremony on Thursday afternoon at the Guaires Cultural Center. The event brought together students, families, and educational staff for an afternoon filled with music, dance, and emotion, marking the end of a year of learning and experiences. The celebration continued later at the Juan Vega Mateos Sports Center with snacks and bouncy castles for the children.
The gala, presented and musically enhanced by Aridia Ramos and Antonio Ossorio, focused on the children of the school. Their performances, prepared with educators Eva, Carmen Delia, and Tania, were met with applause from an engaged audience. A video showcasing special moments from throughout the year was also projected during the event.
A highlight was the surprise performance by a group of parents, who took the stage with a choreography inspired by La Rama, accompanied by papagüevos, eliciting laughter and enthusiasm from the audience. Additionally, over forty children received their graduation portraits as a memento of their time at the Children's School and the beginning of a new educational stage in the municipality's centers.
The mayor, Teodoro Sosa, and the Councilor for Education, Rita Cabrera, congratulated the families, students, and educational team on their work throughout the year, emphasizing the role of the San Isidro Children's School in the education and development of young children. Alongside other members of the Municipal Corporation and the center's director, Pepa Santiago, they presented a personalized gift to each child completing this stage.
