The San Roque neighborhood in Santa Maria de Guia is hosting its patron saint festivities throughout this week, with a full schedule of events running until Sunday, August 23.

The festive program offers activities for all ages. This Wednesday, the main event is the Foam Party, while Thursday will feature the traditional Escala en Hi-Fi with the participation of local residents.
On Friday, the San Roque Hermitage will host a commemorative talk at 7:00 PM. Later, at 9:00 PM, the 26th Sebastian Godoy 'Chanito' Soloist Meeting will take place, featuring new regional voices accompanied by the A.C. R. Estrella y Guia music group.
The weekend will feature increased cultural offerings. On Saturday the 22nd, following children's activities, the final Papagüevos Parade will travel from the Hermitage to the hospital, followed by an evening street party. Sunday the 23rd will begin with a vintage car exhibition and conclude with a Variety Parade in the square.
In parallel, the La Atalaya neighborhood will celebrate the La Madrina festivities in Roque Prieto, including a mass, a procession of the Virgin of Carmen, and a community lunch.
