The Canary Islands are preparing for the arrival of summer with a weather forecast predicting few changes, according to the Aemet. Cloudy skies are expected in the north of the islands with stable temperatures.

This Tuesday, cloudy skies will prevail in the northern part of the islands, particularly below 900 meters in altitude. At sea, northeast winds of force 4 to 5 are expected, temporarily increasing to force 6 in the southeast and northwest extremities, generating moderate seas that will become rough seas in these same areas. On the west coast, winds will be variable from 1 to 3.
The meteorological situation will evolve slightly on Wednesday. In the easternmost islands, general cloudiness is expected to dissipate during the day. In the mountainous islands, cloudiness will concentrate in the north, below 1200 meters, with clearer spells throughout the day. In other areas, skies will be mostly clear. Light drizzle is not ruled out in the northern midlands during the early morning. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, and the wind will be moderate from the north, with strong gusts in the eastern and western extremities of Gran Canaria and in the midlands of the southern slope of Tenerife's mountain range during the early morning.
Looking ahead to Thursday, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will experience cloudy skies in the early and late hours, tending to become mostly clear for the rest of the day. In the north of the mountainous islands, cloudiness with clear spells is expected during the central hours, while other slopes will be mostly clear or clear. Temperatures will not undergo significant changes. Winds will be light to moderate from the north, slightly stronger in low-lying areas of the northwest and southeast slopes of the mountainous islands. On the peaks, winds will be light from the northwest.
