The Civil Guard has arrested an individual in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, for the theft of a cash register from a commercial establishment. The suspect concealed his identity with a mask of the comic book character Batman.

The investigation began after receiving a report of a possible robbery at a premises on Poseidón street in the early hours of August 12th. Officers from the Las Palmas Command arrived at the scene and found damage to the access door and side windows of the establishment. The cash register, containing approximately 500 euros, was missing, and material damages were estimated at around 750 euros.
Security camera footage from the business captured images of the perpetrator. The recordings showed an individual with their face covered by a Batman mask, wearing black boots, ochre-colored trousers, and a black hooded sweatshirt. This description enabled officers to locate a person whose clothing matched the footage.
The Civil Guard gathered additional evidence that allegedly linked the suspect to the crime. Subsequently, the detainee led officers to the location where he had hidden the mask and the hammer used to break the establishment's windows. The stolen cash register and 253 euros of the money were also recovered.
The individual was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force and handed over to the Puerto del Rosario Court of First Instance for further proceedings.
