The historic Casa de la Fonda in La Oliva, Fuerteventura, has been revitalized with new printed fencing that beautifies the surroundings and recalls its past, thanks to the intervention of the Department of Tourism.

This emblematic building, strategically located at one of the main crossroads in the town of La Oliva, had been forgotten, hidden behind iron fences and deteriorated fabrics. The recent action seeks to restore the prominence it deserves as a fundamental part of local history.
The initiative, promoted by the Department of Tourism of the La Oliva City Council, involved the installation of printed fencing that simulates a trompe l'oeil. This image not only improves the aesthetics of the place but also evokes the essence and legacy of the building, considered "living history of La Oliva."

"This action aims to recover these forgotten spaces and bring them back to life with small interventions that beautify the place."

David Fajardo · Councillor for Tourism
In addition to the visual improvement, the removal of the old fencing has allowed for the creation of valuable setback space, increasing safety for residents and tourists passing through the area. The area's councillor, David Fajardo, emphasized the importance of these "small interventions" for the beautification and recovery of public spaces.
