The Corralejo hermitage, located in the municipality of La Oliva, has completed facade and interior restoration works in preparation for the 2026 Carmen festivities.

The main project involves the installation of an artistic mural on the building's exterior, an initiative promoted by the Tourism and Environment department of the La Oliva City Council. This work aims to beautify the area and pay tribute to the local traditions of the coastal town during the summer season.
In parallel, the Festivities Department has coordinated renovation efforts inside the sanctuary, where ornamental painting has been updated to improve the condition of the site.
The festivities in honor of the Virgin of Carmen began on July 5 and will continue until July 25, featuring various cultural activities in their official program.
