The Puerto del Rosario City Council inaugurated a new municipal Social Services headquarters this Friday, located on Primero de Mayo Street, aiming to improve citizen assistance.

The brand-new facilities, occupying two floors with a total usable area of over 740 square meters, have been designed to provide a more comfortable, accessible, and efficient service. This space benefits not only users but also the municipal staff who carry out their essential daily work.
The municipal corporation highlighted that the building is "modern, accessible, and dimensioned to meet the current needs of the municipality." The inauguration ceremony was attended by various local authorities and representatives from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, as well as members of the municipal government.

"Today we open a much-needed infrastructure for our municipality. Social Services deserved facilities in line with the important work carried out here every day. We are talking about direct attention to people, accompaniment, and responses in difficult times, and that requires dignified, functional, and humane spaces."

Among the available spaces are 20 individual consultation offices, a waiting room, a meeting room, an office, an open-plan administrative area, a specific space for the prevention team, a children's care room, and a children's play area, designed to facilitate families' stay during their procedures.

"This new headquarters allows for improved internal organization, increased privacy in care, and offers a more welcoming environment for residents who need to be heard and attended to with closeness."
