The Insular Corporation has put out to tender the drafting of the project, site management, and health and safety coordination for the future works at the El Tostón lighthouse. The base budget for this initial phase amounts to 101,855 euros. Interested companies have until July 3rd to submit their proposals electronically.
This action is being resumed after the previous contract was terminated. A new project is deemed necessary to comprehensively assess the building's condition, update technical solutions, and ensure a complete and functional restoration of the lighthouse.

The planned interventions include the restoration of facades and stone elements, repair of the observation tower and the old lantern, recovery of woodwork, flooring, and coverings, waterproofing of roofs, and renovation of electrical, plumbing, sanitation, and fire protection systems.
Furthermore, the project will incorporate measures for universal accessibility, energy efficiency, and improvement of the photovoltaic system. It will aim to ensure the integration of construction solutions into the landscape and compliance with the environmental conditions of the surroundings, including the Starlight Reserve.
