The Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) has initiated the tender process for the drafting of the technical project for the future El Matorral Local Clinic, located in Puerto del Rosario. The procedure is open simplified with advance processing, with a base budget including VAT of 89,061.77 euros. The deadline for submitting bids is November 3rd at 6:00 PM.
The technical project will cover architecture, engineering, as well as health and safety, with the aim of advancing the construction of this new health infrastructure. The center will be built on a municipal plot of 1,983 square meters, located in block M-17 of the El Matorral Industrial partial plan, with access from Calle Noria.
The initial functional plan includes a total area of approximately 1,300 square meters, with distinct areas for adult and pediatric care. The Puerto del Rosario Basic Health Zone serves a population of 60,826 Individual Health Cards (TSI), of which 53,229 are adult and 7,597 are pediatric.
Currently, the zone includes the health centers of Puerto del Rosario I, Puerto del Rosario II, and Antigua, in addition to the local clinics of Betancuria, Vega de Río Palma, and Valle de Santa Inés. The incorporation of the new El Matorral Local Clinic aims to expand the network of Primary Care infrastructures and improve access to health services for the population.
