The municipality of Agulo, in La Gomera, is joining the first sports campus that the Iker Casillas Foundation will develop in the Canary Islands, an initiative aimed at children and youth.

The project, driven by the foundation of the former international goalkeeper, aims to offer a comprehensive formative experience that unites sports, community, and learning. This will be the first time the Iker Casillas Foundation holds its sports campus in the Archipelago.
The Agulo City Council has positively assessed the municipality's inclusion in this initiative, highlighting the opportunity it presents to enhance activities for local children and youth. The campus promotes camaraderie and healthy habits, reinforcing sports as a tool for personal and social development.

The Iker Casillas Foundation has been promoting these sports campuses since 2011, with quality, learning, and the transmission of sports-related values as their main hallmarks.

The City Council has expressed gratitude to the Island Council of La Gomera for its support, as well as to the Iker Casillas Foundation for the trust placed in selecting Agulo as one of the host territories. Registrations for the campus remain open through the official website.
