Hermigua launches aid for seniors over 65 without pensions
The City Council allocates 30,000 euros to support the most economically vulnerable residents.

The Hermigua City Council has opened the call for financial aid aimed at individuals over 65 who do not receive a pension and are in a situation of economic vulnerability.
The initiative, promoted by the Social Services department, seeks to help cover essential expenses such as food, clothing, and medical care, thereby ensuring dignified living conditions for the municipality's most needy residents.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered and have resided in Hermigua for at least one year, not receive a Social Security pension, and not exceed the income limits established in the call's guidelines.
The maximum subsidy amount will be up to 1,500 euros per person, with a total allocation of 30,000 euros for this call, corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year. The deadline for submitting applications is next June 17, 2026.
Applications can be submitted at both the General Registry of the City Council and the Social Services Department of Hermigua.
