Haría celebrates its identity during the massive Night of Fire

The patron saint festivities combined institutional awards, ancestral traditions, and a popular street party until dawn.

The municipality of Haría celebrated its traditional Night of Fire this Tuesday, the central event of the festivities in honor of Saint John the Baptist 2026, gathering residents and visitors.

The festive day stood out for its high turnout, consolidating itself as a key date in the calendar of northern Lanzarote. The program included various events ranging from recognition of artisanal work to fireworks and musical shows.
During the institutional ceremony, the Haría 2026 Awards were presented to the group of local artisans and producers, valuing their contribution to the cultural and economic development of the municipality. Additionally, a posthumous tribute was held to name a prominent figure as Favorite Son for their contribution to the local social life.

One of the most anticipated moments was the burning of Facundo, a symbolic character representing the end of the festive stage. At the same time, the Devils of Haría performed the Dance of Fire, a choreography amidst flames symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
The evening concluded with a fireworks display and a popular street party that lasted until dawn, boosting local activity according to municipal sources.
