The extraordinary plenary session of the Haría Town Council has ratified the institutional recognition of a prominent local educator. This posthumous distinction aims to preserve the memory and legacy of a key figure in the municipality's educational history, in accordance with the local Honors and Distinctions Regulation.
Furthermore, the Council has announced that the 2026 Haría Award will be presented to the collective of artisans and producers behind the Haría Artesanal tourism experience. This group was selected for its fundamental role in promoting the cultural identity and local products of northern Lanzarote.
The Haría Artesanal initiative allows both residents and visitors to enjoy an offering that combines tradition with contemporary proposals. Featured products include cheeses, fruits, organic vegetables, and local pastries.
