The new equipment has been gradually installed over recent days, under the supervision of the responsible councilor. The annual fee for this agreement has been set at 352,000 euros and will be valid until April 30, 2029.
This municipal decision is the culmination of an analysis of three proposals, all with significant economic implications. The revenue generated will primarily fund coastal maintenance work, including daily cleaning services, as stipulated in the recent tender's terms.
Las Cucharas beach will have the largest amount of furniture, with 460 sunbeds and 230 parasols, distributed across four sectors. Meanwhile, Playa Bastián will accommodate 100 sun loungers and 50 parasols, divided into three sectors, according to municipal documentation. El Jablillo beach will feature the usual presence of 20 sunbeds and 10 parasols, in two areas.
This distribution mirrors the previous arrangement for furniture operation on Costa Teguise's main beaches, which was in effect until the end of April last year.
