The municipality of Teguise has greenlit the transfer of a heritage asset located at 11 Tarajal Street, in the town of Guatiza. The agreement, unanimously approved in the municipal plenary session, formalizes the provision of this space to the Lanzarote Cabildo.
The property will be used to establish a socio-sanitary center focused on the care of elderly individuals experiencing dependency. This initiative stems from a request made by the Cabildo last year, through its Area of Social Welfare and Inclusion.

Teguise City Council's decision aligns with the Lanzarote Cabildo's objective of securing new island-wide resources for dependency management and care, following procedures initiated in September 2025.
