The Teguise City Council has announced the opening of registrations for its 2026/2027 Cultural Plan, which will begin on September 7th at 9:00 AM. This program, with a long history, aims to bring training, traditional crafts, and artistic creation to the various towns within the municipality.
The new edition includes a varied training offer covering disciplines such as calado (lacework), ceramics, roseta (a type of weaving), traditional dances, sewing, cutting and tailoring, folklore, empleita (basket weaving), painting, ballet, theater, crafts, sign language, and traditional costume making. These activities combine artistic expressions with elements closely linked to the cultural heritage of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.
Maintaining an offer of this magnitude each year represents a significant effort for the Consistory, which focuses on finding specialized artisans, professionals, and instructors. The goal is not only to transmit traditional knowledge and techniques but also to bring the programming to as many villages as possible.

Registrations will be open from 9:00 AM on September 7th until 00:00 AM on September 21st. Applications will be processed in strict order of submission, which will be the criterion for assigning available places. Each participant can register for a minimum of one course and a maximum of three.
Applications can be submitted through the website [www.teguise.es](http://www.teguise.es/) or in person at the Casa de la Cultura de Teguise. Registration is free and only requires completing the application form. Once the deadline closes and applications are processed, the final lists for the courses will be published.
