The municipal government organized an informational meeting to explain the status of the drinking water supply in the Tasarte neighborhood. During the gathering, they detailed the steps taken and actions implemented to ensure supply, as well as the roadmap being developed to achieve a stable, definitive, and legally viable solution.
The Water Department chronologically presented the efforts made since the supply issues began, highlighting initiatives undertaken in coordination with the Insular Water Council, Public Health, and municipal services. They also reported on recent extraordinary measures, such as temporary support with water trucks, which helped restore municipal tank levels. Currently, the supply is stabilized thanks to the daily water contribution from the Cueva del Polvo Irrigation Community.
The meeting facilitated direct dialogue with residents, who raised their questions and concerns. The City Council addressed all inquiries and provided the necessary administrative and technical documentation, reaffirming its commitment to transparency.
As a main conclusion, the roadmap for the coming months was presented, aiming to formalize a permanent solution offering legal, technical, and sanitary guarantees, ensuring the drinking water supply in Tasarte regardless of future circumstances.
The La Aldea de San Nicolás City Council expressed gratitude for the residents' participation and reiterated its commitment to continue working with the Insular Water Council, Public Health, irrigation communities, and other involved administrations to guarantee a stable and secure water supply for the neighborhood.
