The decision was made on Friday morning, April 24, 2026, after it was confirmed that the vehicles could not be immediately removed, compromising the safety of the event. This situation has created uncertainty regarding the second pass of the stage, which may also be canceled if conditions do not improve.
“"The organizing committee made it sufficiently clear when the 'Tejeda - San Mateo' stage was presented that it would be forbidden to access the area running along the GC-600 to the Los Llanos junction, and via the GC-130 access to the same Los Llanos junction, by private car."
The FIA, through its social media channels, reiterated that the organization had previously warned about restrictions on private car access to the safety zone of the Tejeda - San Mateo stage, specifically the area covering the GC-600 up to the Los Llanos junction and the access from the GC-130 to the same junction.
The presence of more than one hundred vehicles in these areas, designated as prohibited by the organization, has been the main reason for the interruption, jeopardizing the integrity of both participants and spectators of the rally.
